RE.   Announcing Head Coaches in U13AA, U15AA and U18AA

Hello Comet Families,

The Comets are excited to introduce you to our AA head coaches in U13. U15, and U18 for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.  There were several highly qualified candidates which made these choices really difficult to make. 

U13AA Comet Hurricanes - Steph Ferguson- has a long history of coaching excellence with the Comets including being recognized as the SMHA coach of the year in 2021. 

U13AA Comet Fury - Laura Schaefer- Laura’s athlete first approach to development made her a great choice to lead one of our teams. 

U15AA Comet Impact - Jason Baptist-  This will be Jason’s second year leading a AA team. His previous year’s successes in U13 made him a natural choice to continue in U15. 

U15AA Comet Chargers - Dallas Higgs- Dallas is a non parent coach with several years experience looking to get back into Comets after both of his daughters have long since graduated from the program. Dallas’s experience will no doubt make him an asset to the U15AA program 

U18AA Comet Legends - Scott Stanford- Scott has extensive experience head coaching in co-ed zone hockey as well as assisting in Comets, including the U18AA team from last year which he will now lead. 

We are committed to developing the best athletes and people and have no doubt these coaches will continue that tradition.
