Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is quickly approaching, and we'd love for you to join us! This year's format will be similar to previous years, beginning with an awards celebration followed by the AGM.

AGM: 8:00 PM
LOCATION: Smuckers Lounge, Merlis Belsher Place (2010 College Drive)

Proposed Constitution Change & Election Process

The Comets Executive is requesting to change our constitution. This is required to be voted on by the membership at the AGM. For that purpose we are including the article we wish to have changed. Please review the following:

Important Note:
If the proposed change is approved, it will take effect immediately. As a result, we are seeking interest in the Goalie Coordinator position and other roles ahead of the AGM, as no nominations will be accepted from the floor.

Below is a list of positions up for election this year, along with whether the current incumbent is letting their name stand:

• Registrar (odd) (2-year term) – Open position
• Goalie Coordinator (odd) (2-year term) – Open position
• Assistant Commissioner 1 (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• Secretary (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• SMHA Chair (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• Communications/Website Coordinator (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• Coach Coordinator (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• U7 Coordinator (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• U11 Coordinator (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand
• U18 Coordinator (odd) (2-year term) – Incumbent letting name stand

How to Submit Your Interest

If you are interested in running for a position, please email commissioner@cometshockey.ca by Sunday, April 6 at 6:00 PM with the following details:

• Your name
• The position(s) you're interested in
• A reference's name
• Your reason for seeking nomination
• Any relevant experience
• Your connection to Comets (e.g., daughter playing, coaching, etc.)

Letters will be collected and reviewed by the Nominating committee. The chair of the nominating committee will then put forth the name(s) of the person(s) to be nominated and voted on in the election portion of the AGM.
